.....meanwhile, here's a quick puzzle for those of you without broadband.

You are walking through a field, and you find something to eat. It doesn't have bones, and it doesn't have meat. You pick it up and put it into your pocket. You take it home and put it on a shelf, but 3 day's later it walks away. What is it?

(You will find the solution at the bottom of the page you are waiting for)

Welcome
to Highland Games Home Page

On this site, you will find some unusual items presented in an unusual way. You will see a coin magically disappear before your eyes and a man turn into a duck. You'll witness flexagons flexing and click-clacks tumbling. You may visit our range of beautiful dice, every one unique, or perhaps you'll explore the other range of very ordinary looking dice which are anything but.

Highland Games is a one man business, namely me, based in the Highlands of Scotland. I've been making this stuff since 1989, selling it on the web since 1998, and the biggest lesson I've learned is that if you make something unusual, it's quicker and clearer to demonstrate it than describe it. Rather than visit you all individually, I have used this web site to richly illustrate each product, using animations, diagrams and photos as necessary. Heavy graphics come at the cost of downloading speed, so my solution is to provide 2 options for each of my products:

1. A DESCRIPTION page illustrated by one small photo, enough information to decide if you want to know more.
2. An all-singing, all-dancing SHOWCASE, where you will learn everything necessary and hopefully be entertained too.

Everything you see is designed and hand made by me. The tools, jigs and machinery required are also my own creations. These are not factory-produced goods, every one perfect and identical. You may find a tiny chip in the wooden items, or the occasional small airbubble in the dice. Look upon it as proof they're hand made. You will find that all the items have been made with care, imagination and ingenuity to give you great value and lots of fun.

Thank you for visiting my site. I hope you enjoy your stay. If you have any comments or questions, I'd be delighted to hear from you. The details are in my contact page, where I've also listed the various craft fairs and festivals I attend throughout the UK.

OK, start exploring and have fun.
